Biography

Career at App State: Rushed for 3,074 yards (No. 8 in program history) on 541 attempts (for a career average of 5.68 per carry) with 18 career touchdowns … Had 14 career 100-yard games, including five straight to open the 2023 season … Appeared in 44 games and made 25 starts at running back … Sun Belt rushing leader in 2021 (1,126 yards) and also team leader in 2022-23.
 
2023: Appeared in 11 games and made 10 starts, missing three full games and large portions of others due to injuries … Rushed for 834 yards on 173 attempts (for a 4.8 average) with five touchdowns … Was No. 2 nationally in rushing yards per game (130.2) and No. 1 in rushes per game (24.6) with games of 115, 127, 193, 107 and 109 yards before an early ankle injury limited him to one carry against Coastal on Oct. 10, sidelined him vs. ODU and limited him to three carries against Southern Miss … Rushed for a 61-yard touchdown at Georgia State on Nov. 11 but was injured again at JMU … Set career high with his 193 yards against ECU (with an early TD run of 68 yards) a week after rushing for two touchdowns and 127 yards in a double-overtime loss at North Carolina … Opened 2023 with games of 24, 26, 25 and 30 carries after surpassing 20 just once in his first three seasons, with a pre-2023 high of 23 in 2021.

2022: All-Sun Belt honorable mention from the league … Rushed for team-high 604 yards and career-best six touchdowns on 87 carries for a season-long average of 6.9 yards per carry … Opened season with 116 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries against North Carolina and finished it with 171 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries against Georgia Southern … Despite missing three full games and being limited by injury in several others, rushed for at least 69 yards in five contests … Starting five times in nine appearances ... After totaling 10 catches in his first two seasons, made 24 catches for 145 yards ... The 171 yards on 12 carries ranks as the second-most rushing yards by an App State player with fewer than 15 carries (after Marcus Cox's 14 carries for 192 yards against South Alabama in 2015) ... 2020: Played in 10 games as a true freshman (didn’t appear in the first two) … Emerging as the No. 2 running back late in the season with some older backs injured, rushed 51 times for 327 yards with two touchdowns over the final five games and finished the year with 510 yards and three touchdowns on 82 attempts (6.2 average per carry) … Ranked No. 8 among FBS true freshmen, No. 3 among G5 true freshmen and No. 1 among Sun Belt true freshmen in rushing yards during the 2020 season … Rushed for more than 100 yards in wins at Georgia Southern (13 carries for 103 yards, with a 70-yard touchdown) and against Campbell (14 carries for 131 yards, with a 5-yard touchdown in his college debut) … With two backs who had rushed for more than 100 yards in the 2020 opener sidelined in Game 3 against Campbell, Noel made his debut as the backup to Daetrich Harrington, who had 211 rushing yards as App State totaled 404 rushing yards … ­Less than two minutes after App State took a fourth-quarter lead on Jalen Virgil’s kickoff return at Georgia Southern, on the first play after a three-and-out punt by the Eagles, Noel sprinted 70 yards for a touchdown that increased the lead to 31-20 in a 34-26 victory … Started late-season hot streak by rushing 11 times for 46 yards at Coastal Carolina … Had 12 carries for 80 yards against Troy a week later and then 12 rushes for 72 yards (with an early 33-yard touchdown run) against Louisiana … Finished year with two catches for 25 yards.
