Fourth-year junior brings a veteran presence to Appalachian State’s young group of tight ends ... will compete for playing time both at tight end and on special teams.

2014: Appeared in three games (vs. Campbell, South Alabama and Idaho) ... caught a 20-yard pass in collegiate debut against Campbell.

2013: Did not see game action.

2012: Redshirted.

High School: Was a defensive tackle at Charlotte Catholic H.S. … coached by Jim Oddo … also wrestled as a prep.

Personal: Full name is Michael William Moll … son of Jane and Steve Moll … brother, Mark, played football at Appalachian State from 2009-12  … Michael is majoring in accounting … member of Appalachian State athletics’ academic honor roll and was a member of Southern Conference academic honor roll.
