Biography

2018: Appeared in 10 games, contributing as a defensive lineman as well as a lineman on kick tries … Finished the season with four tackles, including two against Charlotte.

2017: Joined the App football team in spring 2017 and played in one game … Recorded his lone tackle, a half-sack for a 3-yard loss, against Savannah State.

2015: Redshirted his true freshman season at Gardner-Webb.

High School: Played for coach Scott Johnson at Starmount High School in Boonville, N.C. ... Made the Winston-Salem Journal’s All-Northwest team as a senior in 2014, when he recorded more than 130 tackles (more than 40 for lost yardage), forced five fumbles and made five fumble recoveries ... A three-year starter for the Rams who also started on the offensive line, Houser was the Mountain Valley 1-A/2-A Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
