2013: Appeared in all 12 games but was limited to nine starts due to a spate injuries over the second half of the season ... ranked third on team with 71 tackles ... led team and tied for Southern Conference lead with three interceptions ... also led team with four total takeaways (three INT, one fumble recovery) ... earned NCAA Division I FCS freshman all-America recognition from College Sports Journal ... named to SoCon all-freshman team ... opened the season by tallying 12 or more tackles in each of the first three games (12 at Montana, 14 vs. North Carolina A&T, 15 at Elon) ... became the first Appalachian State freshman with double-digit tackles in three-straight games since current Carolina Panther D.J. 2012: Made the travel squad as a true freshman and appeared in the first three games of the season before sustaining a severe ankle injury while exiting the team bus upon arrival at the hotel for the fourth game of the year at Chattanooga … missed the rest of the season due to the freak injury … applied for and received a medical redshirt from the NCAA.
