JUNIOR • 2025
All-MAC First Team performer … NFHCA All-Region Second Team recipient … Appeared and started in all 20 games for the Mountaineers, never coming out of a single game … A program-record four-time MAC Defensive Player of the Week … Led the Mountaineers in goals with 14 from the backer position … Had four game-winners, one being the go-ahead goal over Ohio (Sept. 19), to put App State up 4-3 after trailing 2-0 in the first half … Helped anchor a defense that saw four shutouts … Found the back of the cage against James Madison (Sept. 28) to help push the Mountaineers to the program’s first ever national ranking … Recorded a season-high four shots on goal three times ... SOPHOMORE • 2024
Appeared and started in all 19 games, playing all but 13 minutes this season … Tallied three goals from the backer position … Scored two goals from penalty strokes against Davidson (Sept. 15) … An integral part of the Mountaineer defense that led the MAC in shutouts with seven … Named to the 2024 All-MAC Academic Team.

FRESHMAN • 2023
Started every game of her freshman season and was one of just four players on the team to play over 1,100 minutes ... Named to the All-MAC second and freshman teams ... Scored four goals on the season, which led App State freshmen ... Tallied 10 points in 2023, making her one of six Mountaineers to eclipse 10 points in 2023 ... Recorded two multi-goal games in her freshman campaign, one against Georgetown on Aug. 27 and the other against Queens on Oct. 15 ... Scored shootout goals against Kent State and No. 8 Louisville ... Her shootout goal against Kent State proved to be the game-winner ... Was an integral part of App State's defense as she helped lead the backline to five shutouts in 2023 ... Played in all 60 minutes five times and over 60 minutes four times ... 

High school
Sophia Baxter helped Marriots Ridge to three regional championships and one state championship in the midfield while garnering many individual accolades. Baxter was named all-state her last two seasons and all-county for all four years. She was also named to the all-metro team as a senior. Baxter also competed under Sarah Dawson with Freedom HKY, earning several Futures Felvel I NFC selections, Nexus Championship selections and AAU selections.
