Julieann Massa joined App State Athletics in September 2024 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer working primarily with the App State Baseball program.
 
An App State graduate with a decade of experience in the field, Massa returns to the High Country after Working as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of West Florida from 2021-2024.
 
Prior to working at West Florida, Massa served the United States Air Force, working as an Athletic Trainer at Eglin Air Force Base, located in between Destin and Fort Walton Beach, Fla. She has also worked in college athletics for William Peace University, Life University and St. Andrews University.
 
A native of Apex, N.C., Massa earned her Bachelor’s Degree from App State in Athletic Training in 2015 before completing her Master’s Degree in 2018 at Life University in Health Science – Sports Injury Management.
 
She is ATC, LAT, CPR-BLS and BFR certified.
 
Massa now lives in Boone, N.C. with her husband, Logan, and their two dogs. In her free time, Massa enjoys paddleboarding, hiking and line dancing.
