2024: Made the team as a walk-on...did not see playing time as a true freshman.

High School: Joins the Mountaineers out of Pinecrest High School, where he played pitcher, catcher and shortstop. Huneycutt was named an honorable mention All-State by High School OT, hitting .400 and slugging .448, with 18 RBIs and nine stolen bases. He also collected all-conference recognition.
