2022: Made 19 appearances, including three starts, striking out 42 batters in 39.1 innings. Used as a multiple-inning reliever for the majority of the season, before being inserted into the starting rotation for the final three series of the regular season. Delivered career-high 4.1 innings, entering in third inning, April 15, against coastal Carolina. Matched a career-high with 4.1 innings, and tallied a career-high 7 strikeouts to earn the win in relief, April 22, against ULM. Made first career start May 7 at Georgia State, striking out four in 3.2 innings, and allowing just one run. Delivered 4.1 scoreless innings against UTA, May 14, allowing just one hit, to combine with Caleb Cross to one-hit the Mavericks.
2021: Made 26 relief appearances, going 3-0 with five saves, a 3.50 ERA, 52 strikeouts and 17 walks and an opposing batting average of .180 in 46.1 innings … In league play, went 2-0 with three saves, a 3.10 ERA and an opposing batting average of .169 … In 12 games against Sun Belt teams (counting the tournament), had 10 scoreless outings, two wins, four saves and 25 strikeouts in 23.2 innings … Earned a three-plus-inning save or relief win for the fourth time in the Sun Belt tournament, working around a one-out double in the top of the ninth inning and retiring nine of the 10 batters he faced in the 1-0 victory against Texas State … Picked up the Game 2 win vs. South Alabama by recording 11 outs despite facing only 10 batters, five of whom were retired on strikeouts. Entering a bases-loaded, one-out jam with the score tied in the sixth inning, a failed squeeze play and strikeout to escape the jam preceded 1-2-3 efforts in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings … Also earned saves in wins against North Carolina A&T, at Georgia Southern (3.0 scoreless innings), Georgia State and Little Rock (one hit allowed in 3.0 scoreless innings).
Previous Colleges: Posted a 2.48 ERA and a 5-1 record with 54 strikeouts over 32.2 innings in seven starts for Gulf Coast State during the 2020 season, which didn't count against his eligibility due to COVID-19 … Had 11 strikeouts over six shutout innings against St. Johns River State and 11 strikeouts in six shutout innings against Black Hawk-Moline … Also reached double figures in strikeouts with 10 in 4.0 innings against Andrew … Redshirted at Charlotte in 2018 and did not make any game appearances for the 49ers in 2019.
