2024: Made 15 appearances including 13 starts...Served as the Mountaineers No. 3 starter for the majority of the season, but was bumped into the second spot of the rotation in May...Went 4-2 with a 6.25 ERA...struck out 59 batters in 67.2 innings, holding opponents to a .240 batting average...Struck out career-high nine batters versus Siena on Feb. 25 in Hickory...Won consecutive starts vs Siena, Southern Illinois and Winthrop in non-conference play...Tossed seven innings in App State's one-hitter against South Alabama on May 2, striking out seven and retired 13 consecutive batters at one point in the outing...Struck out eight batters in career-high eight innings at Old Dominion on May 11...Retired first 12 batters he faced, including seven strikeouts, in Sun Belt Tournament opener against Troy May 22...Ranked tied for eighth in the Sun Belt in looking strikeouts (20) and ninth in opponent's batting average (.240) in the Sun Belt.

2023: Made 21 appearances (3 starts) in first season with the Mountaineers...Inserted into rotation for final conference series of the season and tossed five scoreless innings against Troy...Followed that up with 5.1 innings in a start against JMU in a game the Mountaineers won to stave off elimination in the Sun Belt Tournament...In a stretch from April 11 through May 13 struck out 21 batters in 13 innings across eight outings...In season debut, earned four-inning save against Queens, February 18...Earned first win of the season with 4.2 innings of relief work against North Carolina A&T on February 25...Made First start against UNC Asheville on April 18, striking out six in three innings without allowing an earned run.

Prior to App State: Attended Dutch Fork High School before beginning his collegiate career with two seasons at Northwest Florida State College. In 2022 he made 16 appearances (seven starts), going 5-2, while also recording a save. He struck out 67 batters in 53.2 innings of work, walking just 17 on the year. Chirico’s arsenal is highlighted by a 93 mile-per-hour fastball, which led to him being ranked as the 6^th best right-handed pitcher, and 12^th overall prospect, in the state of South Carolina by Perfect Game in 2020.
