Chandler Seagle joined the App State Baseball coaching staff in the fall of 2020 as a student assistant.

Seagle has played three seasons of minor league baseball as a catcher after being a 30th-round draft pick of the San Diego Padres as an App State junior in 2017.

After throwing out 16 of 42 runners on steal attempts in 2016, Seagle led the Sun Belt Conference with a stolen-base-against percentage of 57.1 in 2017, when he threw out 18 of 42 runners in the debut season for App State coach Kermit Smith.

Seagle started 130 games at App State from 2015-17 and was an all-state selection as a prep standout at New Bern High School.
