Cameron Lyons holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management with a Minor in Statistics from Appalachian State University. He began working with the App State baseball program in the fall of 2018 and ascended to his role as the Director of Operations/Analytics in 2024. 

Previously, Lyons served as the head manager for the team. In addition to his work with App State Baseball, he has served as an Analytics Coordinator for the Canes National/Mets Scout Team 17U in 2023. He has also been a Camp Coordinator for Kermit Smith Baseball Camps since 2024, directing prospect and youth camps at Appalachian State.

Originally from East Bend, N.C., Lyons currently lives in Boone with his fiancé, Maryssa. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and softball, as well as hunting and spending time with family.
