2022: Made nine appearances all in relief, totaling ten innings, while holding opponents to a .152 batting average. His first outing came at UNC Greensboro on February 25, when he struck out a season-high three batters in two innings. Did not allow a run in five straight outings, April 8 - May 6, capped by 2.1 scoreless and hitless innings May 6 at Georgia State. 

High School: A Maiden, North Carolina native that helped to lead North Lincoln High School to an 11-4 overall record and a playoff appearance in 2021 … Had four appearances on the mound in 2021 accumulating a 3.32 ERA and a 1-0 record … Whitley tossed 19 innings in 2021 fanning a total of 31 batters … Recorded an 8-3 record on the bump as a sophomore and finished with a high school career ERA of 1.94, according to Maxpreps.com.
