2022: Named the Sun Belt Freshman of the Year, becoming the fifth Mountaineer in program history to earn Freshman of the Year honors (Scott Waugh (1988), Johnny McCraw (1989), Kenny Osborne (1993), and Jaylin Davis (2013)), and first to do so in the Sun Belt era. Led the team in OPS (.842), slugging (.462), hits (60), triples (3), total bases (91), and was tied for the team lead in batting average (.305). Raised his batting average from .277 to .305 over his final 19 games of the season. Hit first App State home run March 20 versus Georgia Southern, also doubled and drove in four in the game. Tallied 19 multi-hit games on the season. After joining App State as a shortstop, played the majority of the season at first base, before moving back to his natural position after an injury to Alex Aguila in the final weeks of the season.
