Biography

Career: Played in 26 career games and went 1-0 as a starter with a 2018 victory at Coastal Carolina … Came off the bench to lead a comeback win against Georgia State in 2020 ... Completed 43 of 73 passes (58.9 percent) for 462 yards with five touchdowns … In six seasons in Boone, App State went 62-17 with four Sun Belt titles (2016-19), an additional Sun Belt East Division title (2021) and five bowl wins (2016-20).
 
2021: Appeared in six games … Completed 12 of 21 passes for 116 yards, with an 8-yard touchdown pass against Georgia State to produce a 31-9 lead as the third quarter ended … Completed three of four passes for 48 yards against Elon and five of 12 passes (with one interception) for 41 yards in the Boca Raton Bowl.

2020: Appeared in six games and led a fourth-quarter touchdown drive to cap a comeback win against Georgia State with Zac Thomas sidelined … Completed 3 of 4 passes for 34 yards (all against Georgia State) on the season and scored an 8-yard touchdown against Campbell on his only carry … Led the last six plays of an 11-play march that resulted in Camerun Peoples' go-ahead touchdown run with 4:55 left in a 17-13 victory against Georgia State … Extended the drive with a third-and-8 throw to Thomas Hennigan for 14 yards to the Georgia State 22 after earlier completing a 12-yard pass to Peoples … Completed a pass to Miller Gibbs to help App State run out the clock … Also took snaps against Arkansas State, Texas State, Troy and North Texas (bowl win).

2018: Appeared in seven games at quarterback and made his first career start in a 23-7 win at Coastal Carolina … Filling in for an injured Zac Thomas, threw a season-long, 33-yard touchdown pass to Corey Sutton and finished with 127 passing yards (going 9-for-19) in the win at Coastal … Ended the year 21 of 38 through the air (55.3 percent) for 206 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions … Other touchdown was a 4-yard pass to Malik Williams at Georgia Southern … Went 2 of 2 for 14 yards against Georgia State.
