BOONE, N.C. – App State Soccer battled Old Dominion to a scoreless draw on Sunday at The Valley, extending the program-record unbeaten streak to 10 consecutive games.
In a battle between two teams that had not conceded a goal in league play this season, that trend continued Sunday, with App State (7-1-3, 2-0-1) recording its seventh clean sheet of the season, led by four saves from
Hanna Skogsfors against the reigning Sun Belt East Division champs.
App State's best offensive chance came on a corner kick in the 73
rd minute when
Lucy Harrington hit a one-time volley towards the near post, but Old Dominion keeper Ellie Goodrich was in good position to make the close-range save. Old Dominion (3-5-2, 1-0-2) recorded its fifth clean sheet of the year.
The Monarchs held a narrow 6-4 advantage in shots (4-1 on target) and 4-3 in corner kicks for the match.

The Mountaineers will be back in action on Thursday, when the team travels to Harrisonburg, Va. to take on James Madison. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
