NORFOLK, Va. — App State Volleyball delivered a sound sweep over Old Dominion in Friday's series finale, crushing the Monarchs (4-9, 0-2 SBC) in three straight sets, 25-17, 25-9, 25-10.

Charlotte Thompson set the tone for the Mountaineers (9-7, 2-0 SBC), hammering a team-high 13 kills on a.360 hitting percentage. The junior outside hitter caught fire in the second set, dropping six kills to jumpstart App State's runaway performance.

Raegan Richardson dished out 30 assists to orchestrate the attack, while MeMe Davis anchored the backline with 13 digs and chipped in three service aces.

After battling through a pair of early lead changes in the opening frame, the Mountaineers took full control. App State led from the opening serve of the final two sets and never looked back, locking up its first conference sweep of the season.

App State returns home to host Coastal Carolina on Friday and Saturday. Both matches will stream live on ESPN+, with live stats available at appstatesports.com.
