BOONE, N.C. — Zoe Duval became the first member of the App State women's golf program to receive All-Sun Belt recognition, as the freshman earned a spot on the first team based on her standout 2025-26 season for the Mountaineers.
With national rankings determining All-Sun Belt honors, Duval had the fifth-best ranking among Sun Belt golfers to secure her spot on the six-player first team.
After placing fifth at the Sun Belt Championship tournament, Duval became the first NCAA Regional qualifier in App State Women's Golf history and tied for 25th place in the Chapel Hill Regional. Posting two first-place individual finishes and six top-five finishes during the 2025-26 season, she set a program record with a 73.03 scoring average.
Duval ended the fall schedule as the co-medalist at the Terrier Intercollegiate and won an outright title at the Babs Steffens Invitational, posting a 7-under total of 69-69-68—206 that broke the 54-hole program record she had established earlier in the season. She won that event by five strokes, taking the lead with an opening-round ace.
After recording two rounds of 69 over 54 holes en route to her tie for fifth at the Sun Belt Championship tournament, Duval tied the program record for the lowest 18-hole score with a 3-under 67 (with seven birdies) in the second round of the Chapel Hill Regional.
App State's 2025-26 season was presented by Hound Ears Club.
