POSTGAME NOTES: Louisiana 34, App State 24
In a series of streaks, Louisiana won for the fourth straight time after App State won the first eight meetings from 2014-19.

At 2-4 overall, App State has its worst record through six games since starting 1-5 in 2014, its FBS debut season that featured six straight victories to finish the year 7-5.

The Mountaineers started 0-3 in Sun Belt play for the first time and have their first 0-3 start in league play since 1972, their first year in the Southern Conference.

This was the second straight conference road game that App State outgained its opponent in total yardage, but lost.

App State lost the turnover battle for the fifth straight game and has gone 1-4 in those contests.

OFFENSE
Â
Kanye Roberts rushed 26 times for a career-high 148 and caught a 15-yard touchdown pass for his first career receiving touchdown. It was the Mountaineers' first individual 100-yard rushing performance of the season.

For the sixth time in six games,
Kaedin Robinson led the team in receiving yards, catching seven passes for 96 yards. He has caught a pass in 31 consecutive games, which ranks top 15 among all FBS players.

Tight ends
David Larkins and
Eli Wilson both caught touchdown passes. Larkins' 1-yard score gave App State a 7-3 lead (its largest in a conference game this season), while Wilson's 26-yard score cut the Mountaineers' deficit to 27-24 with 8:06 left in the fourth quarter.

Joey Aguilar passed for 236 yards and three touchdowns, but he threw a career-high four interceptions. It was his first game as a Mountaineer throwing more than two picks.

DEFENSE

App State's defense had one of its best showings of the season, holding the Cajuns to 364 total yards.

Jordan Favors snagged the Mountaineers' first interception in league play this season.

Brendan Harrington led the team with six tackles, all solo.

SPECIAL TEAMS

In his second game as field goal kicker,
Jackson Moore made a career-long 44-yarder that tied the game at 17-17 with 8:19 left in the third quarter. He also went 3-for-3 on PATs.

Kaedin Robinson returned a punt 6 yards for App State's first punt return of the season.

Conner Maynard punted three times for a 43-yard average, landing all three inside the 20.
