BOONE, N.C. — App State cornerback
Steven Jones Jr. has been invited to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, which will be held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., on Jan. 28.
During the 2022 regular season, Jones tied for the Sun Belt lead with 15 passes defended and tied for 14th nationally with 1.2 passes defended per game. He totaled 45 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and one sack a year after being named a first-team All-American by multiple organizations.
Following that breakout season with All-America honorable mention from Pro Football Network in 2022, Jones finished his App State career with seven interceptions and 34 passes defended, including 28 over his final two seasons.
