Shemar Jean-Charles, a rookie for the Green Bay Packers, and a season-high tackle total from Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither ranked as the top highlights from Week 3 of the 2021 season.
Wearing No. 22, Jean-Charles appeared on 14 special teams plays — or 52 percent of them — as the Packers used a last-minute drive from Aaron Rodgers and last-second field goal to claim a 30-28 road victory against the San Francisco 49ers.
Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB, Cincinnati Bengals
Davis-Gaither, who has excelled with his pass coverage skills early in the 2021 season, finished with seven tackles in a 24-10 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. A second-year pro, his highest tackle total as a rookie in 2020 was 10 stops in the regular-season finale.
Davis-Gaither played 54 percent of the defensive snaps and 71 percent of the special teams snaps.
Sam Martin, P, Denver Broncos
Martin punted three times in a 26-0 shutout of the New York Jets, delivering one kick inside the 10 and posting a long punt of 53 yards.
Kendall Lamm, OT, Tennessee Titans
