BOONE, N.C. — App State opens the 2021 football season with a game against East Carolina on Thursday, Sept. 2, in Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

IMPORTANT NOTES
- Mask policy – the Duke's Mayo Classic will be following the county, city and Carolina Panthers' policies that are below and will also be listed on the Classic's Health and Safety page.
- In accordance with the city of Charlotte's indoor mask guidelines, all guests and staff must wear a mask in indoor spaces, including the indoor concourses on the 300 and 400 levels. Face coverings are not required outdoors. Masks will be available at stadium entrance points as well as at guest relations and security booths.
- The Duke's Mayo Classic encourages people to enter stadium early because of a history of long lines with college game day crowds attempting to enter the stadium close to kickoff.
- Aside from some students/staff with hard-copy tickets already in hand, the Duke's Mayo Classic will have mobile ticketing only and encourages fans to download tickets well in advance and have them ready for display on their phone.
