BOONE, N.C. – In partnership with Fairwinds Estate Winery and Affinity Licensing, App State Athletics is pleased to introduce its new wine brand – Mountain Born Napa Valley.
We invite all alumni, fans and friends to join the 1899 Club, an exclusive membership-only wine club to celebrate the rich history, people and place of App State.
App State members who join the 1899 Club will receive two shipments per year (six bottles each) of handcrafted Napa Valley wines made exclusively for our community. There is no long-term commitment. Wines are allocated based on sign-up date seniority, and each shipment arrives in a fire-branded App State wooden crate. Purchasing world-class wine from America's most renowned wine country will support our amazing institution and athletics programs.
Each commemorative bottle is privately labeled to pay tribute to our great institution. The initial wine collection features three varietals:
- A red blend, affectionately called "The Rock"
- The "High Country" chardonnay, acknowledging our community and setting
- The "Boone" brut, celebrating an iconic historical figure that impacted our community and campus
