MORGANTON, N.C. - App State women's golf finished third at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate Tuesday.
Jacksonville State won both the team and individual titles in the High Country. App State posted a 932 team score, just six strokes back of the first-place Gamecocks and four strokes behind second-place Elon.
Abby Bolt paced the Mountaineers into the lead through 36 holes. Bolt closed with a 231 and finished tied for fifth on the player leaderboard, her fifth top-five display of her career.
Mogie Adamchik put in a top-15 effort, 13th, behind a 235 three-round score, and
Carrie Catherine Ganim posted a career-best outing by tying for 14th.
Kayla Ward and
Sarah Hardin posted identical 54-hole totals of 238, placing tied for 16th.
As individuals,
Melany Chong cracked the player leaderboard top 10 with a 234 final score.
Meghan Mitchell tied for 25th by carding a 244.
The Mountaineers will now press forward to the April 18-20 Sun Belt Championship on April 18-20 from Daytona Beach, Florida.
