Field Hockey Drops Game Two at Miami

OXFORD, Ohio - App State field hockey dropped back-to-back contests at Miami with a 7-0 defeat Saturday.

Miami (11-1, 9-0 MAC) clinched the Mid-American Conference's regular season crown in Saturday's win over App State. The Mountaineers (7-7, 4-6 MAC) will travel back to the High Country to prep for their final series of the spring season, hosting of a two-game series against Longwood.

App State failed to record a shot Saturday against Miami and trailed 4-0 heading into halftime. The RedHawks scored two quick goals in the first five minutes of play and never looked back. Five different goal scorers connected on the day for Miami.

Talayna Viscuso entered the game in goal for the Mountaineers for the final 22 minutes of play and recorded a save and surrendered no goals.

App State will be back in action on April 23-24 to host Longwood. Both Friday and Saturday's matchups, including Senior Day Saturday, are scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at Brandon and M. Erica Adcock Field in Boone, North Carolina.
