Meet the 2021-22 Signees: Emma Wyman

BOONE, N.C. - App State softball signed Emma Wyman to the 2021-22 roster.

"Emma bleeds black  and gold.  With her work ethic and coachability she will come into our already strong pitching staff and add so much more to it.  Emma's experience and competitiveness will add to our overall blue collar team mentality," said head coach Shelly Hoerner

Emma Wyman will join the Mountaineers after an outstanding high school career, as a member of Trinity Catholic High School. Wyman has earned the varsity letter award for four years. As a freshman, the right-handed pitcher was selected to the USA Softball All-American team. During her junior year, Wyman earned All-State and All-District honors, while leading Trinity Catholic to its first playoff appearance in ten years. 

Wyman has held the MVP title and was named Player of the Year, for three consecutive years. In addition, she notched the 2022 Preseason Selection to the North Florida Senior All-Star Softball Tournament.

Currently, the pitcher has recorded 518 strikeouts thus far in her high school career. 

Wyman is from Ocala, Fla., and attends Trinity Catholic High School. She has played travel ball with the Lady Gators 18U team.
