BOONE, N.C. — Week 13 produced an unlikely touchdown for one App State Football alum and three games with head-to-head matchups involving teams that each have a Mountaineer on the roster.
Offensive lineman Kendall Lamm caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield on a tackle-eligible play in the Cleveland Browns' 41-35 victory against the Tennessee Titans.
That score gave the Browns a 17-0 lead as they improved to 9-3 on the season.
Lamm blocked from his left tackle spot to begin the play, and when the only defender near him followed running back Kareem Hunt out wide, Lamm was wide-open as he backpedaled in the end zone.
It was the second NFL catch for Lamm, who had a 7-yard reception for a first down as a Houston Texans rookie in 2015.
Darrynton Evans, RB, Tennessee Titans
Evans, who has missed the last eight games, was activated from injured reserve on Monday.
Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB, Cincinnati Bengals
Davis-Gaither made an impressive stop in the Bengals' 19-7 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
On a second-and-goal run from the 2, Davis-Gaither showed elite speed off the edge and stopped Myles Gaskin for a 1-yard gain. That tackle helped limit the Dolphins to a 19-yard field goal.
Davis-Gaither was in for 69 percent of the special teams plays and 10 percent of Cincinnati's defensive plays.
Douglas Middleton, DB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Middleton had one tackle on a kickoff return and played on 71 percent of the special teams reps in a 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Tae Hayes, CB, Minnesota Vikings
Last week, the Vikings signed Hayes to their practice squad after he appeared in five games over the last two seasons for the Dolphins. He was not active for the win against the Jaguars.
Sam Martin, P, Denver Broncos
Martin averaged 38.3 yards on three punts and had one downed inside the 20 during a 22-16 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Daniel Kilgore, C, Kansas City Chiefs
Kilgore was active but did not play in the win against the Broncos.
Josh Thomas, DB, Buffalo Bills
A member of the practice squad, Thomas has appeared in two games this season and made one tackle for the division-leading Bills.
Ronald Blair, DE, San Francisco 49ers
Head coach Kyle Shanahan has said Blair will likely spend the entire season on the physically unable to perform list for the 49ers.
Colby Gossett, OG, Cleveland Browns
Gossett, a member of the Browns' practice squad, has opted out of this season.
