Rabun Wright

Rabun Wright joined the App State Women's Basketball staff in June 2024 as an Assistant Coach.

Wright spent the 2023-24 season as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for New Mexico State. Wright helped the Aggies to a Conference USA semifinal appearance and three All-CUSA selections. Prior to her stop at New Mexico State, Wright spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Jacksonville State. Wright helped guide the Gamecocks to their fourth consecutive winning season in 2022-23.

During the 2021-22 season, the Gamecocks posted an NCAA Division I program-best record of 24-8. She helped lead Jacksonville State to an ASUN West Division title and a WNIT bid, marking the program’s first postseason appearance at the Division I level. Wright also made stops at Shorter University and Florida Southwestern State. In her time at FSW, the Buccaneers amassed an overall record of 54-11 in two years, won two conference titles and two bids to the NJCAA national tournament. Additionally, she worked with multiple sports ministry programs in Italy as well as in Germany. While abroad, she worked in tandem with Malta’s International Olympic committee and trained athletes who competed for Malta’s National Team. 
From 2012-15, Wright was a member of the North Alabama women’s basketball team.

She graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in mass communications with a concentration in broadcast journalism. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management from Shorter University.
