Macho Arza joined App State's coaching staff prior to the 2026 season.

He was the wide receivers coach at Florida Memorial during the 2025 season and an offensive quality control coach at Eastern Kentucky during the 2024 season.

Arza's last stop before EKU was at Booker T. Washington High School in Miami, serving as the quarterbacks coach and signal caller for the 2023 season. In his lone season with the Tornadoes, the team went 9-3, throwing for 1,560 yards and 17 touchdowns on the season on 187 attempts.

In 2022, Arza began his coaching career with Florida International as a student assistant coach working with the defensive backs and scout team.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Sport and Fitness Administration from ETSU, where he also spent two seasons as a member of the Buccaneers' football program.
