Ethan Baxter was hired to be App State’s director of football research and administration in January 2026.
 
Baxter served as Purdue’s assistant general manager during the 2025 season. Prior to that, he joined UNLV’s football staff in February 2023 as an administration assistant, was elevated to executive assistant to head coach Barry Odom four months later and then served as the assistant director of football operations.
 
Baxter worked as a recruiting assistant at Arkansas from 2019-23, graduating from his home-state institution in 2021 with a degree in marketing. He helped assemble four top-30 signing classes in that time. App State head coach Dowell Loggains was a member of Arkansas' staff from 2021-22.
