Nick DaCosta

Nick DaCosta joined App State Athletics in June 2024 as an Assistant Director of Olympic Athletic Performance, working primarily with the Mountaineer baseball and field hockey programs as well as with the throwers on the track and field team.
 
A two-time graduate of App State, DaCosta completed his master’s degree in May 2024 and earned his bachelor’s degree in 2022. While he was pursuing his master’s degree, DaCosta worked as a Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant with the Mountaineers where he led performance efforts with baseball, field hockey and track and field throwers. He also collaborated with a wide array of App State sports during his undergraduate years.
 
Originally from Mooresville, N.C., DaCosta now lives in Boone, N.C. with his dog, Nova. In his free time, he enjoys fly fishing, playing softball and competing in Olympic weight training competitions.
