Annika Garcia joined the App State Sports Medicine Staff in June 2022 as an athletic trainer for the wrestling and cheer programs.
 
Garcia is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, NCBATE Licensed Athletic Trainer, and a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. 
 
Born and raised in Arizona, Garcia attended Northern Arizona University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Master’s of Science in Athletic Training. 

While in Arizona, she worked at Arizona State University with the wrestling team during the 2021-22 season as a student under their athletic trainer. Garcia also assisted with Arizona State’s women's soccer, women's indoor volleyball, and women’s beach volleyball. 
 
Originally from Tucson, AZ., she now resides in Boone, N.C.
