Biography

2023-24: Went 14-11 before suffering a season-ending injury in late January … Made his dual debut against Greensboro College and won by fall in 59 seconds … Eighth place at the Southern Scuffle with a 4-1 start before ending the event with consecutive losses to top-25 opponents … Only other loss was a 7-5 decision to a ranked opponent, and improved to 4-1 with a 3-1 decision against Chattanooga’s starter … Went 3-1 to place third at the Mountaineer Invitational.

2022-23: Redshirted as a true freshman ... Went 2-4 overall at 165 pounds when wrestling attached in the first semester (allowed under new redshirt rules) ... Had one pin and one major decision ... Lost 7-5 to SoCon finalist Tanner Peake in his first match ... Competing unattached in the second semester, placed fifth at the Appalachian Open.

High School: Two-time state champion and three-time state finalist in Oklahoma … 5-A state champ at 160 pounds as a senior (tech fall in final) and 145 pounds as a junior … Went 42-6 as a senior, 27-4 as a junior and 43-7 as a sophomore for a mark of 112-17 in his final three seasons … State runner-up at 138 pounds as a sophomore … National ranking of 17th.
