Taylor Jacobs joined the Academic Services for Athletes in January 2024 as an Academic Advisor for Student Athletes.

Jacobs joins App State after serving as an Academic Advisor for Student Athletes at Old Dominion. She also worked as secondary teacher and coach for Norview High School in Norfolk, Va. 

Jacobs graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education. She also has a master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Old Dominion.  

In addition to teaching and advising, Jacobs has coached cross country and track and field at both Miami (Ohio) and Western Kentucky. 

Originally from Owensboro, Ky., Jacobs now lives in Boone. In her free time, she likes to run, read and hike.
