Toone comes to the High Country following a four-year career at Utah State. The graduate pitcher will add some depth to the Mountaineer pitching staff next season. A graduate of Bear River High School, Toone was a force in the circle as she fired 152.2 innings en route to a 22-3 record and 2.75 earned run average her senior year. She also found success at the plate, batting over .450 during each season of her high school career. She was tabbed as an All-Area MVP and was named Ms. Softball in 2018. After a stellar high school career, Toone was a four-year member of the softball team at Utah State where she sits second all-time in the Aggies' record book with seven career saves. She was named to the All-Mountain West team in 2020 and 2022 while garnering MWC Pitcher of the Week honors during her sophomore season. Toone was also named to the Academic All-Mountain West team three times and also received recognition as a three-time MWC Scholar Athlete.
