A Bradenton, Fla., product, Girk has shined on the softball diamond in her four years at Parrish Community High School, posting an incredible .493 career batting average, which included a .573 mark her junior year. Because of her impressive year in 2023, Girk was named the Bay Made Fast-Pitch Player of the Year her junior year and was listed as one of the top utility players in Florida for the class of 2024 by FLVarsity. She compiled 100 career hits in high school and stole 65 bases, helping her garner an All-State team selection in 2023. Girk also played for Richard Torres on Tampa Mustangs Torres, which was ranked No. 11 in the country at one point. Her team took home two top-2 finishes at the Show Me the Money Tournament while she was a member.
