Prior to App State (Boston College – 2023-25)
Aughton joins the Mountaineers after spending three seasons with the Boston College Eagles, where she made 16 appearances and two starts. Aughton has pitched in 28 innings in her collegiate career and has struck out 13 hitters. In 2025, Aughton posted two scoreless appearances, with one coming against Stonehill on March 25 and the other coming vs. Louisville on April 11. She posted a career-best four strikeouts over a season-best four innings pitched against Providence on March 11. In 2025, she recorded at least one punchout in five of her 10 appearances. She has posted two games in which she has pitched at least five innings, with both coming in 2024. Academically, Aughton was named to the 2023-24 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
 
High School
From Pittsburgh, Pa., Aughton attended Pine-Richland High School and posted a stellar career. She was ranked the No. 34 pitcher in the Class of 2022 by Extra Innings Softball and was a Western PA Big 56 Conference Class 6A first-team all-section selection in 2021. She was also named a first-team all-section honoree her senior year, making her a two-time all-section recipient. On the travel circuit, Aughton played for the Lady Dukes Club from 2019-21 and for Top Gun 18U National in 2021-22 in Kansas City. In addition to her high school career, Aughton is a part of an athletic family as her grandfather, Ronald Bunofsky, was a four-year starting pitcher at Ohio University, while two of her cousins, Alicia Aughton and Erika Aughton, both were pitchers at La Salle University and Grove City College, respectively. Aughton was also a member of the National Honor Society in high school.
