Biography

2019: Appeared in 53 games with 51 starts her senior year ... posted a .235 batting average and .382 slugging percentage ... managed six home runs on the year with 20 RBIs and 32 hits ... lead the Mountaineers to a victory over Coastal Carolina on May 3 after a three hits and five RBIs including a grand slam ... finished her career ranked 10th in program history in walks with 53. 

2018: Walters earned a spot in the outfield her junior season … batted .171 with 42 starts and 45 appearances … scored 19 runs with 12 RBI … jacked 2 homers against Georgia State and UNCG … recorded a .952 fielding percentage with 57 putouts … had a team-high 10 sacrifice bunts … had 2 multi-hit games in 2018.

2017: Played in 42 games and made 34 starts, mainly in the outfield … batted .237 (22-for-93) with three home runs (tied for third best on the team), 16 RBI (second best) and 14 runs scored (third best) … posted a .355 slugging percentage and a .336 on-base percentage … finished with five multi-hit games and three multi-RBI outings … had a career game against UNCG (Mar. 22), going 2-for-4 with 6 RBI smashing a grand slam and a two-run home run … committed just one error on 39 chances for a .909 fielding percentage.

2016: Appeared in 48 games with 45 starts ... batted .204 (19-for-93) with two doubles and a home run … plated ten runs and drove in 10 runs ... produced an on-base percentage of .378 … on the defensive side of the ball, she earned a fielding percentage of .888 with 56 putouts, 55 assists (fourth) and 14 errors in 125 chances … went 3-for-3 in the final game of the season (May 8), while also driving in five runs. 

High School: Earned four letters in softball and one in bowling ... named first team all-area all four seasons ... named team’s offensive MVP for all four years ... .451 career batting average with three home runs ... also played for Wagner’s Gold Dunn and hit .382 in her career ... that team was ASA state champions and went to ASA nationals.

Personal: Daughter of Kenny and Shelli Walters ... born April 30, 1997 (20 years old) ... majoring in elementary education ... sister Shelby played softball at Rollins College and helped lead the team to a conference championship her senior year.
