BOONE, N.C. – The App State softball team is set to open its 2026 home schedule at Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium on March 6, when it hosts the Mountaineer Classic. With the team’s home-opening tournament, the 2026 promotional schedule was announced on Tuesday.
Along with the Mountaineer Classic, the Mountaineers will host four Sun Belt series and two midweek games on March 18 and April 7. App State will play 18 home games this season, its most home contests in a season since 2016.
The 2026 promotional schedule is highlighted by Alumni Weekend (March 27-29), Glow Night (April 7) and Pink Day (April 19), among several other themes. Fans can experience every theme day in full at Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium as admission to every home softball game is
free.
Along with theme days, there will be several giveaways for fans to enjoy throughout the season, which include T-shirts, posters and snow cones. Kids will also get the chance to run the bases after select home games.
Promotions are subject to change.
Head coach Whitney Jones’ squad is poised to bring lots of excitement to the High Country this season, so come out and support the App State Softball team all season long!
