MISSION STATEMENT

App State Athletic Training Services collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Our goal is to provide exceptional medical care to the student-athlete. Injury and illness prevention starts with the pre-participation physical exam. When injuries and illness occur, it is the athletic training's staff responsibility to evaluate, provide proper care and refer if needed.

App State Athletic Training Services is dedicated to keeping current with the newest equipment, evaluation, educational and rehabilitation techniques. The philosophy for Athletic Training Services is that the needs of the student-athlete shall always be the first consideration. The goal of the Athletic Training Services is:
  1. Allow easy access of Athletic Training Services to the student-athlete.
  2. Encourage a philosophy of sport that places a high value on health and wellness education.
  3. Enable injured student-athletes to return to their sport as soon as medically safe.
  4. Reduce the risk of athletic injury for those student-athletes in our service.
