Biography

2022-23: Went 2-3 overall at 197 pounds before being sidelined ... Opening-night dual starter against NC State before going 2-2 at the Southeast Open with a 6-0 shutout and a first-period pin.

2021-22: Forced into the lineup as a true freshman because of a mid-season injury to the starter at 197 pounds, after also beginning the season at 184, went 12-14 overall with a 4-4 record in duals and a 3-3 mark in SoCon duals … Posted an 11-10 record at 197 pounds … Used a Sudden Victory takedown to win a 4-2 decision against The Citadel’s Ben Stemmet in a consolation match at the SoCon Championship before dropping a 3-2 decision against Gardner-Webb’s Anthony Perrine … Placed fifth at the Mountaineer Invitational and Southeast Open … Made his dual debut at Duke on Jan. 13 and went 2-0 with wins against VMI and Little Rock during his first dual appearance in Varsity Gym … Improved to 3-1 in duals and 2-0 in SoCon duals with a 4-3 decision against Perrine … Took Campbell’s Chris Kober, a returning SoCon champion, to overtime before dropping a 3-1 decision.

High School: Completed 48-0 senior season at Oak Harbor with a first-period pin to win the Division III state title at 195 pounds in Ohio … Region Wrestler of the Year didn't allow an offensive point to be scored against him during his senior season … Two-time sectional and district champion … Won a district title as a junior but didn't get to wrestle in a state championship tournament because of the coronavirus pandemic … Coached by George Bergman at Oak Harbor … Miller's father, Tait, was a state champion in Ohio and Miller's cousin, Ian, is App State's head assistant coach … Also a standout in track and field, running for a 4x400 relay team that won a conference championship.
