CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — All five App State Wrestling entries at the Southern Scuffle won at least one match, highlighted by a top-16 finish from
Jeremiah Price at 157 pounds.
Price started 2-0 with a pair of major decisions before dropping a 5-3 decision in the Round of 16 to eventual semifinalist Tyler Badgett from The Citadel. Price improved to 3-1 with a 7-1 decision against Virginia Tech's Matt Henrich and lost a 12-5 decision against North Dakota State's Gabriel Schumm.
Bryson Terrell (125 pounds),
Riley Edwards (141 pounds),
Aldo Hernandez (141 pounds) and
Anthony Conetta (157 pounds) all went 1-2 for the Mountaineers.
The 2024-25 season is presented by Hungry Howie's and Penn Station. App State returns to action Sunday, Jan. 12, with a SoCon dual at The Citadel. The Mountaineers and Bulldogs finished second and third, respectively, in the SoCon standings last season.
