BOONE, N.C.– App State Tennis won its seventh match this season and picked up its first Sun Belt victory by prevailing 4-1 over Georgia State on Saturday. The Mountaineers claimed the doubles point and three victories among the four completed singles matches.
App State (7-5, 1-1 SBC) took control of the match early with wins on Court 2 and 3 to obtain the doubles point over the Panthers (4-9, 0-2 SBC). The tandem of junior

Savannah Dada-Mascoll and
Brooke Demerath secured the doubles point for the Black and Gold with a 6-4 win over the No. 3 doubles pairing of Maria Parades/Francesca Miglio.
Dada-Mascoll opened up singles play with her ninth consecutive win to improve to 2-0 in conference play. The sophomore defeated Peredes 6-1, 6-4, on Court 1.
Taya Powell defeated Alba Retortillo Soiras 6-3, 7-6 [7-5] in a straight-set victory on Court 2. Ryan-Bovey clinched the match as the Cork, Ireland, native defeated Radojevic 6-2, 6-3.
