Dear Appalachian Family,

It feels like only yesterday that we were holding up the Dollar General Bowl trophy and celebrating in the locker room in Mobile, Alabama. Thanks to great leadership from our coaching staff and a record-setting senior class, we were able to celebrate not only our third straight bowl victory but also our second consecutive Sun Belt Conference Championship.

As Appalachian State's head coach, I do not take these championships lightly. We have been fortunate to win consistently across my career as a Mountaineer, but I know first-hand the effort and attention to detail it takes to win at a high level. The family-oriented culture we have at App is a big reason why we're able to sustain our success. And as our fans and supporters, you are a huge part of that culture. I believe we have the best fans in the country, and you do a great job of making Kidd Brewer Stadium one of the top atmospheres in college football.

We have already begun spring practice in preparation for the 2018 season, and I am as excited as ever to coach our team and present to you a product on the field that will make the App family proud.
