SUMTER, S.C. - Appalachian State University men's tennis (10-6) won its third straight match with a dominating sweep over The Citadel (8-18) on Saturday afternoon in Sumter, S.C.]

App State has won three straight matches for the second time this season while it reaches 10 wins for a fifth consecutive year.

The Mountaineers captured two doubles wins before claiming the three singles contests they needed to clinch the triumph.

Milo Bargeron and Scott Webster got things started with a convincing 6-1 victory over Gavin Stewart and Noah Nawabi for their fifth straight win and move to 10-3 on the season. Since partnering up last season, the pair is 19-6 over 25 matches. Moving into singles, App State continued the momentum where all three singles wins went straight sets. Ben moved to 9-6 on the year when he toppled Nawabi, 6-2, 6-0, followed by Alex Brea's first singles victory of the season over Roy Hobson in sweeping fashion, 6-0, 6-4. Scott sealed the deal with a 6-4, 6-2, victory over Henson, handing the senior his seventh win in a row and an 11-3 record on the year.
