Appalachian fell to a Louisiana team that hit a season-high 14 3-pointers and shot 53.8 percent (14-26) from beyond the arc. The Mountaineers went into the final period with a 43-41 lead but was outscored by 18 in the final frame.

• Mathews is shooting 56 percent (14-of-26) from 3-point range on the road while shooting only 14.3 percent (3-of-21) from beyond the arc at home. Expect the sophomore point guard to continue her hot shooting away from home.

Tierra Wilson scored five points with six turnovers and only one assist against Louisiana. The freshman has bounced back this season as she's averaging 13.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game to just seven turnovers in five games. Expect the point guard to have a bounce-back performance.
• ULM is 0-10 with its average pace at 71.1 in those losses, while the Warhawks have a pace of 57.6 in their four victories. See if can dictate the tempo on Saturday.
• Opponents are turning the ball just 14.7 times per game against ULM. Expect Appalachian to protect the ball after committing 24 miscues, which led to 23 points for UL on Thursday.
