CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Appalachian State's wrestling team returns to action Monday and Tuesday at the Southern Scuffle, presented by Compound Sportswear.
Wrestlers from 25 teams are scheduled to participate in the two-day, team-scored event at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tenn. The competition begins at 9 a.m. on Monday.
The App State wrestlers entering the Southern Scuffle with top-eight seeds are senior
Forrest Przybysz (No. 7 at 174 pounds), redshirt freshman
Alan Clothier (No. 8 at No. 184 pounds) and unattached
Matt Zovistoski (No. 6 at 149 pounds).
Przybysz is ranked 17th nationally at 174 pounds with a 12-4 record this season and 68-41 record in his career, as he beat 13th-ranked Yoanse Mejias from Oklahoma in his last match. Clothier is 14-4 this season, and Zovistoski placed seventh at 149 pounds at the 2017 Southern Scuffle.
