BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State's wrestling team will travel to Chapel Hill to face ACC program North Carolina on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Mountaineers (2-0) are unofficially No. 29 in the
USA Today/NWCA Division I Wrestling Coaches Poll with five voting points. UNC (0-2 with losses to No. 20 Purdue and No. 3 Oklahoma State) is No. 33 with two voting points.
Forrest Przybysz,
Randall Diabe,
Gavin Londoff and
Irvin Enriquez were starters last season for a 23rd-ranked team that won 18-16 against the 25th-ranked Tar Heels in Boone. Przybysz and Londoff picked up three-point decisions that night, and App State secured the victory thanks to a match-ending win by heavyweight Denzel Dejournette.
Przybysz appeared this week at No. 20 in InterMat's rankings for 174-pound wrestlers.

JohnMark Bentley, has ranked wrestlers at 125 pounds (No. 10 Dalton Macri), 149 pounds (No. 10 Troy Heilmann), 174 pounds (No. 11 Ethan Ramos) and 197 pounds (No. 17 Daniel Chad).
Przybysz and Ramos had a tight match at 165 pounds in 2015, and Ramos was at 174 pounds last year when Przybysz won a 5-0 decision against John Clark at 165. Przybysz wrestled at 174 pounds and Ramos at 165 when the teams met during their freshman seasons.
