Middleton suffered a torn pectoral muscle during the preseason and is on the reserve/injured list.

McCray collected one tackle in three games before suffering a knee injury. He was waived from injured reserve with a settlement, according to reports.

APPS IN THE CFL

Former App State quarterback Armanti Edwards and defensive back Ed Gainey will face each other in the Eastern Final of the CFL playoffs, with the winner advancing to the 105th Grey Cup.

Edwards is a standout receiver for the Toronto Argonauts, and Gainey is a standout defensive back for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The Argonauts play host to the Roughriders on Sunday at 1 p.m. for a spot in the title game.

Edwards finished the regular season with 83 catches (ninth in the league) for 962 yards (15th in the league) and four touchdowns. Gainey leads the CFL with 10 interceptions, three more than the second-place total. He had a four-interception game early in the season.
