About the Mountaineers
The Apps are coming off a thrilling 3-2 double overtime on the road against Louisiana. Emmily Cowie's first goal of the season was clutch as it gave App the pivotal win needing to stay in the thick of the tournament race. App State needed to come back from two separate one-goal deficits in the victory, while Kat Greer and Lindsey Tully both notched goals in the contest. Tully scored her second goal in as many matches, and all five of Greer's goals have either given App the lead or tied up the match. App State will need to have a good weekend to make the top eight in the Sun Belt. The Mountaineers are one point behind Little Rock and Louisiana in the standings. However, App can make up ground in the standings as two wins could supplant the Mountaineers into a top four seed depending on the rest of the results this weekend.

Senior Day
Sunday will mark the final home game for eight seniors in Sam Steyl, Sharon Osterbind, Lindsey Tully, Kelly Flanders, Erin Settle, Sarah Moon, Morgan Mosack and Sarah Peatross. App State has seen back-to-back winning seasons and two Sun Belt trips to the semifinal round in consecutive years at the Sun Belt Tournament. App State will hold its Senior Day festivities before the match.

Scouting ULM
The Warhawks head into Friday's contest playing some of their best soccer as they have won all three of their matches over the past five contests with wins over Coastal Carolina, Louisiana and Arkansas State. ULM is currently in seventh place in the standings with nine points. ULM has allowed the third-most goals in the Sun Belt with 25, giving App an excellent opportunity to continue the momentum on offense.

Scouting Coastal Carolina
Coastal Carolina has fallen in its past two matches and will face South Carolina State on Friday before heading to the High Country on Sunday. The Chanticleers boast a winning record overall but own a 3-4-1 mark on the road. CCU's Daniella Famili has a team-high nine goals, which ranks first in the Sun Belt. She also leads the team with five assists, giving the forward 23 points, topping the conference. Rylee Atteberry has been the primary goalkeeper for CCU, starting in 16 matches to go along with a 1.26 goals against average and 63 saves.

Series History
App State has yet to lose to ULM with a perfect 3-0 record. The Mountaineers have outscored the Warhawks by a combined score of 6-1, including a 3-1 victory last season. Appalachian is 1-4-2 all-time against the Chanticleers with the lone win coming in 2009. Last season, the Mountaineers fell to the Chants, 3-0.
