BOONE, N.C. - App State men's golf is set to host the Bash at the Beach, presented by FBC Mortgage, Monday and Tuesday from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The Bash at the Beach will be played at the Surf Golf and Beach Club, a par-72, 6,800-yard course. The George Cobb design of the Surf Golf and Beach Club opened back in 1960 and was recently renovated by John Lafoy in 2016.
"We're excited to be able to host the Bash at the Beach and all these fine programs," head coach
Jason Allison said. "This is a real exciting tournament for our App State fan base. A lot of App alums are now living in this area, and we should have good support for the Mountaineers. Also, a special thank you to the Surf Club for giving these student-athletes a chance to compete."
A total of 11 programs will tee off Monday: App State, Florida A&M, IUPUI, Jacksonville State, Loyola-Chicago, NC A&T, NC Central, St. Francis, UConn, Valparaiso and William & Mary.
To open the spring season and led by senior
Dylan Lukes, the Mountaineers placed second as a team in a field of 16 at the Sea Palms Invitational. Lukes also finished second on the player leaderboard, marking a career-best effort.
App State has finished top three or better as a team in all four events of the 2020-21 season. The projected Mountaineer starting five for the Bash is

Thirty six holes of competition are scheduled for rounds one and two Monday. To close out the two-day, 54-hole event, the final 18 holes are set for Tuesday.
Tee times are scheduled for 8 a.m. off of holes No. 1 and No. 10. Live scoring will be through
BirdieFire.
Spectators are allowed during stroke play, but masks and social distancing are still required. Follow
